POKEMON TCG TRAINERS APEX CHALLENGE 5K:
Hello, Pokemon Trainers! TPCi has asked us stores to run some kind of "Alternative Format" during the break after Nationals in June, so we decided to take it to the next level and add our own "Versus Touch" to it!
PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW VERY, VERY CAREFULLY TO AVOID CONFUSION.
Entry: $40 Per Teammate ($120 total)
Time: 12PM
Format: Standard
Versus Games is a LGS based out of Central Florida. Something we are known for is our "3v3" events across multiple TCGs. It's time Pokemon gets its own!
This is a 3v3 Team Tournament. Players will compete in teams of 3 for a pool of $5000!
The format/seating goes as follows (You will sit in this order every round.)
Format: STANDARD
-When signing up for the event, your team will assign each other a letter. "A", "B", "C"
-Players will sit in the order of A, B, C every round.
As stated above, when teams sit down to play their rounds, you will sit in the same order every time, playing against your respective letter. (A's play A's, B's play B's, etc)
Another added element to our 3v3 format is communication. You may talk to your teammate directly next to you for discussion of options/plays/searches/etc. However, you cannot communicate with your far teammate. For example:
-(A) can talk to (B)
-(C) can talk to (B)
-(B) can talk to (A) & (B)
-(A) may not talk to (C) (You can pass information through B though!)
These team tournaments are a great team-building experience and fun twist on the usual game overall! If there's any questions, my DM's are always open!
Now, for the stuff you guys REALLY care about, prizing. Here is the current breakdown, payout amount is to the team: (If event plays all the way out)
1st: $2000 (40%)
2nd: $1000 (20%)
3rd & 4th: $500 (10%)
5th-8th: $250 (5%) (If event "splits")
Top 8 SPLIT: $625 Top 4 SPLIT: $1000 Top 2 SPLIT: $1500
ALL DETAILS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. EVENT MUST MEET 45 TEAMS FOR FULL PAYOUT. THERE IS NO CAP FOR THIS EVENT ALL DIVISIONS PLAY TOGETHER
